Hangzhou Dianzi University, also known as HDU, is located in Hangzhou, one of the most dynamic cities in the Yang-tse River Delta area, the capital city of Zhejiang Province and one of the most prosperous provinces in China with its strong economic growth, vitality and potential.
HDU is a key research oriented university with its own distinctive features in electronic science and technology, engineering and information technology as well as management, economics and accounting. HDU is approved as one of the five key provincial universities in 2015 among more than one hundred public colleges and universities.
Founded in 1956, HDU has 5 campuses spread throughout downtown and Xiasha, the Higher Education Park and Economic Development Zone and Xiasha Campus is HDU main campus which has over 20,000 full- time students and 2,300 staff with 1600 teachers including 690 professors and associate professors.
HDU has 21 schools and research institutes and offers 57 undergraduate programs, 54 postgraduate programs and 3 Ph.D. programs in engineering, management, economics, science, literature, law and education, along with multiple interactive disciplines and specialties.

HDU develops education for international students and enrollment is going up rapidly year by year which covers more than 40 countries from America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
HDU provides first-class facilities with modern teaching buildings, laboratories, the science and technology building, stadium, sports fields, the student culture center, the international exchange center, the library, etc. There are dormitories for international students (single rooms and double rooms), cafeteria, separate Muslim restaurant, bank, post office, grocery store and cinema. It takes only 45 minutes from HDU to the city center by metro.
